Our Thales Netherlands IS/IT team works at the core of the Thales digital transformation. With a team of 130+ colleagues divided into 15 – mostly product related – Agile DevOps squads. We provide IS/IT support to our 2500 Dutch colleagues in several Business Lines and functions. We also work closely together with the international IS/IT departments of the Thales Group. Our mission? Providing secure access to Thales information in one click, while feeling proud together. IT-Engineering Support (IT EngSup) is part of the IS/IT department of Thales Netherlands. The IT Engineering Support chapter (following the Spotify model) consist of 30 enthusiastic IT engineers and consultants divided in three self-managing squads whilst working together closely using Agile methodologies. The chapter consists of systems-, software-, and IT architects, application specialists and infrastructure specialists. We collect requirements, validate them against security protocols & design solutions and implement them together with the end users, but also with the other IS/IT squads. We maintain our own products and projects and are involved with the latest IS/IT developments within the Thales Group.

💼 Package Management: Take command of package management on Windows through Chocolatey, ensuring the automated and efficient deployment of tools and resources.
🌐 CI/CD Innovation: Craft and standardize cutting-edge CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Bitbucket, facilitating a seamless development-to-deployment journey.
🌍 Global Collaboration: Collaborate with international Engineering Support peers within the Thales Group.
🔍 Tech Trailblazing: Continuously explore and introduce new technologies to our engineers and department, empowering them to excel in their work.

What we are looking for
Someone with a technical (IT/Engineering) education or working background with a strong emphasis on Linux
To excel in this role, we are looking for the following qualifications and expertise:
- Strong working experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux or similar Linux distributions
- Demonstrate a profound affinity for automation and commitment to staying on top of emerging technologies
- We highly value candidates with experience in Ansible or other Infrastructure as Code solutions
- Experience with deploying and maintaining web-based applications
- Knowledge of database technologies is a significant advantage
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Podman is preferred
- We believe in customer collaboration, so a customer-oriented attitude and commitment to their satisfaction is key
- Effective communication is an essential part of our operation. Proficiency in both Dutch and English is vital for collaboration with our customers and international partners
